Product Overview
The xFBR-45xxZ series of crimpless connectors are an enhanced,
snap-together solution for plastic optical fiber, designed for
compatibility with Avago Technologies Versatile Link series
transmitters and receivers. These connectors eliminate the need for
crimping, reducing labor, tool costs, and installation errors.
Available in both latching and non-latching styles, with
non-latching simplex connectors capable of forming a duplex
connector, they are constructed from rugged, flame-retardant ULTEM
plastic for industrial and harsh environments. The connectors are
offered in black, blue, and grey, aiding in fiber connection
differentiation. They are suitable for a wide range of applications
including industrial control, automotive networks, proprietary
system interconnects, gaming, medical, telecommunications, and
datacom. The termination process is straightforward, ideal for both
field and factory installations, and can be finished with the
optional HFBR-4593Z Polishing Kit for improved coupling
performance.

which the connectors can be used when not subjected to mechanical
stress. Installation temperature refers to the ranges over which
connectors may be installed onto the fiber and over which
connectors can be connected and disconnected from the transmitter
