The Anderson Power Products (APP) Saf-D-Grid connector system, introduced in 2009, builds upon the proven contact technology of SB and Powerpole connectors to provide safe and reliable DC power connection solutions for 380-400 VDC power distribution systems. Designed for server, telecommunication, and other devices up to 600 VDC, Saf-D-Grid enables direct connection of DC electronic devices to DC micro-grids powered by renewable energy or high-efficiency DC sources. It meets international safety requirements, including UL 950 and IEC 60950, and is size-compatible with the IEC 320 C13 and C14 AC connection system. Saf-D-Grid is the only connector system of its size rated by UL for disconnecting a 400 VDC, 20 amp load, and offers increased power density, supporting up to 40A and 600V DC or AC within the same footprint as the IEC 320 C13 & C14 system. This makes it suitable for AC systems requiring higher wattage capabilities within existing connector spaces.
