Project Overview
The Guangzhou MixC City Project, designed by the prestigious Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), unfolds as a captivating blend of elegance and innovation. QZY Models, with a commitment to excellence, invested 10 days to meticulously craft a 1:500 scale model that embodies the distinct architectural vision of this high-end commercial and mobile office complex.
Architectural Aesthetics
The overall aesthetic of this architectural model is characterized by a harmonious fusion of wood tones and metallic accents. The project model, a grand ensemble of upscale commerce and dynamic office spaces, unfolds with intricate details that captivate attention.
Craftsmanship Excellence
Crafting this architectural model involved a sophisticated interplay of various techniques to ensure precision and authenticity. UV printing, laser engraving, CNC carving, thermoforming, and 3D printing were seamlessly integrated. The main structure, predominantly acrylic, underwent meticulous hand-painting to highlight its design nuances. The centerpiece, a massive curved roof, features 3D printing with hand-treated luminescent engraved lines, adding a touch of brilliance. The interior ceiling, crafted with CNC technology, showcases diamond-shaped facets coated with a reflective gold film, striking a balance between translucency and design aesthetics.
Spatial Expression
Different colors of frosted blocks delineate spatial relationships and structural design features within the model. The commercial office tower's top section is conceptualized and manufactured using CNC-processed solid acrylic, while the peripheral elements boast the natural beauty of maple wood. Aesthetically intriguing bridges, featuring 3D-printed frameworks and thermoformed transparent acrylic supports, gracefully traverse the model. The water surface, composed of mirrored reflective glass, undergoes a semi-matte wave treatment for added visual appeal.
Illuminating Design
The model goes beyond static representation with illuminated features. The carefully designed grooves in the 3D-printed roof emit a subtle glow, enhancing the overall visual impact and creating a captivating ambiance.
