Product Overview
ABB AI845 is a new generation 16-channel analog input module in the AC 800M distributed control system, specifically designed for smart factories and digital transformation projects. Based on the high-density advantage of AI815, this module further optimizes the HART communication performance and diagnostic capabilities, supporting full-channel synchronous HART polling. It can efficiently collect the main variable (PV), equipment status, diagnostic information and multivariable data from intelligent transmitters such as pressure, temperature and flow.

Installation and Usage instructions
Hardware installation
Insert AI845 into the S800 I/O electronic frame (TB842A redundant
base plate is recommended);
Connect to the CI854A (optical fiber) or CI801 (electrical)
communication module via the ModuleBus cable;
Use shielded twisted-pair cables to connect to the 4-20mA circuit
on site, with the shielding layer grounded at a single point.
Software configuration
Add the AI845 device in Control Builder M v6.0+;
Automatic recognition of 16 channels and HART capability;
Configure for each channel:
Engineering units (bar, °C, m³/h, etc.)
Upper and lower limits of the range
HART variable mapping (PV → DCS tag)
Alarm threshold and filtering time
