HASTELLOY C276 (UNS N10276) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum
superalloy with nominal composition:
✅ ≥14.5% Chromium (Cr) → Forms dense, self-healing passive films rich in Cr₂O₃ under
oxidative conditions.
✅ ≥16% Molybdenum (Mo) → Stabilizes against pitting/crevice corrosion by enhancing

✅ Trace Cobalt & Iron → Maintain structural integrity without compromising corrosion
