This valve is part of the DR series and is specifically engineered to maintain a consistent secondary circuit pressure regardless of fluctuations in the primary circuit. It achieves this through its main spool insert and a pilot control valve that includes a pressure adjustment element. Constructed to be normally open, the DR20-5-5X/50Y allows hydraulic fluid to move freely from channel B to channel A when in a rest position. The system's equilibrium is maintained by the balance between the pressure applied at channel A against the spring-set pressure at the pilot control valve. Upon reaching the set spring pressure, the ball opens, causing the control spool to shift towards closing, thereby achieving the desired reduced pressure.

This model features external pilot oil return into the tank via a control line and offers an optional check valve for free return flow from channel A to channel B.
