Screw conveyors are commonly used material conveying equipment in industrial production. They push materials in a closed channel by the rotation of screw blades. The structure of this machine is not complicated. The core consists of a rotating shaft with blades, U-shaped or tubular material troughs, and is equipped with components such as drive motors. It has many advantages, such as taking up little space, being able to feed materials in a horizontal or inclined direction, and being well sealed to prevent material leakage or dust contamination. From delivering fertilizers and pigments in chemical plants to transporting wheat and flour in grain mills, and then to conveying cement and sand in building materials factories, it can be used in many places to continuously transport materials such as powder and granules. Working principle
The working principle of a screw conveyor is centered on mechanical transmission: when the drive device rotates the screw shaft, the screw blades rotate accordingly and exert an axial thrust on the material. Due to the frictional force between the material and the inner wall of the trough, and the effect of gravity on the material itself, it cannot rotate along with the blades. Instead, under the thrust, it moves along the axial direction of the trough from the feeding port to the discharging port, thereby achieving continuous material transportation. The conveying direction can be flexibly changed by adjusting the rotation direction of the helical blades. This mechanism that converts the rotational power into axial thrust through the helical structure enables the equipment to efficiently handle the conveying requirements of powdery, granular and small block materials.
