1. What is the function of the 330103-00-06-10-12-05 proximity probe?

This proximity probe is used to monitor shaft vibration and position in rotating machinery. It detects the distance to a conductive target (usually a rotating shaft) using eddy current sensing technology, converting physical movement into an electrical signal for monitoring and protection systems.

3. What is FluidLoc and why is it important?

FluidLoc is a specialized sealing technology built into the cable to prevent oil or fluid ingress into the cable assembly. It’s ideal for applications where the probe must operate in oil-filled environments such as turbine or compressor housings.

4. Is this probe compatible with older Bently Nevada systems?

Yes. The 3300 XL 8 mm probe is electrically and mechanically compatible with both 3300 XL and many non-XL systems. However, mixing XL and non-XL components may slightly reduce overall measurement accuracy.

5. What is the temperature operating range?

The standard temperature range is –30°C to +100°C. For higher temperatures, Bently Nevada offers Extended Temperature Range (ETR) probes and cables rated up to +425°C (probe) and +500°C (cable).
