Q1: Can this probe be used in hazardous environments?

Yes, the 3300 NSv series probes, including this model, are designed for use in hazardous areas and come with various agency approvals.

Q2: Is the probe compatible with older Bently Nevada systems?

The 3300 XL NSv system can replace both the 3300 RAM and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 transducer systems. However, upgrades from the 3000-series or 7000-series require replacing the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor Sensor with NSv components .

Q3: What are the typical applications for this probe?

It's ideal for monitoring radial vibration and axial position in machines with limited installation space, such as centrifugal compressors, turbines, and pumps.

Q4: How does the probe ensure sealing against pressure differentials?

The probe uses a Viton O-ring to seal differential pressure between the probe tip and case. Note that probes are not pressure tested prior to shipment; contact the manufacturer if pressure testing is required for your application .
