System overview

The EMC PowerEdge R940 is a 4-socket, 3U monolithic rack server designed to run complex workloads using highly scalable memory, I/O, and network options. The system features the 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable family,with up to 48 DDR4 DIMMs, up to 13 PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 enabled expansion slots, and a choice of embedded NIC technologies.
