Q1: What is the maximum cable length supported by the 330905-00-13-05-02-00 probe?

A1: The probe is designed to work with a 0.5-meter (20-inch) cable. For longer distances, extension cables are available,

but the total electrical length must remain consistent across the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor to maintain accurate measurements .

Q2: Can the probe be used in high-temperature environments?

A2: The 330905-00-13-05-02-00 probe has an operating temperature range of -30°F to +351°F (-34°C to +177°C).

For applications requiring higher temperature resistance, Bently Nevada offers high-temperature versions of their proximity probes .

Q3: Is the probe compatible with older Bently Nevada systems?

A3: Yes, the 3300 XL NSv probe is mechanically and electrically compatible with Bently Nevada’s previous 3300 RAM proximity probe

and extension cable, allowing for easy upgrades without the need for system reconfiguration .

Q4: How should the probe be installed?

A4: For optimal performance, the probe gap should be set at 1.0 mm (40 mils), and a torque of 7.5 N·m should be applied for M10x1 threads. Additionally, a minimum cable bend radius of 25.4 mm (1 inch) should be maintained to prevent damage .
