Q: What’s the purpose of this probe?
A: It measures precise distances between the probe tip and a metal target (e.g., shaft), converting proximity changes into

voltage suitable for continuous vibration or position monitoring, and Keyphasor signal generation

Q: What do all the suffix codes mean?
A: As noted above, the code sections provide info on probe type (8 mm, thread), physical dimensions,

cable length, connector style (+ protector), and certification options .

Q: Is the probe interchangeable with previous models?
A: Yes — compatible with non‑XL probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors

— but mixing may reduce performance to non‑XL specs.

Q: What about high‑temperature or fluid‑sealed applications?
A: There’s an ETR variant for environments up to 425 °C using ETR extension cables rated to 500 °C.

FluidLoc cable options prevent fluid ingress.
