1. Introduction

Tinplate canned food, except few light color fruit and canned fruit, mainly adopts interior painted empty cans for improved corrosion resistance of containers. Provided that there is 5ppm iron in every 350ml tinplate can, then each can of food can provides 1.75mg iron, which is about one tenth of 18mg daily iron intake by human body. In case of rich vitamin C contained in the canned fruit and vegetable juice, iron will be easier for assimilating. That is why this food tinplate can is so widely adopted for packaging food.
