The material of the silica brick is quartzite, which is used as an auxiliary mineralizer. Fired at high temperature, its mineral composition is a complex arrangement of tridymite, quartz and high-temperature glass, and its AiO2 content is above 93%. In the fired high-quality silica bricks, the content of tridymite is high, accounting for 50% to 80%; cristobalite is next, only accounting for 10% to 30%; and the content of quartz and glass phase is not firm at 5% to 15%. Silica Brick-Precautions for Wearing When the temperature is 600~700℃, the volume deformation ability of the silica brick, the function of resisting sudden heat, and the thermal stability are also good. If the coke oven is operated at this temperature for a long time, the masonry will be simply damaged.
Glass kiln silica brick: high-quality silica brick for glass kiln, with high silicon content and low melting index. It is widely used in the upper structure of the glass kiln, such as the ceiling, breast wall, hanging wall, small furnace, and the regenerator. The siliceous heat-insulating refractory brick is made of silica as the primary material and the SiO2 content is not less than 91 % Of insulating and refractory products. The main mineral composition is phosphorite and cristobalite. It is suitable for industrial furnaces such as coke ovens, hot blast furnaces, glass melting furnaces and carbon furnaces.
