The AB 1747-L533 is an SLC 5/03 Processor that is a part of SLC 500 system. It is a small, simple and pocket-friendly processor with a wide range of applications such as small process control, material handling, HVAC control, etc. It contains a PLC-5 processor-based advanced instruction set. It can be stand-alone or distributed throughout the system for SCADA applications.

The 1747-L533 processor has total user memory of 32K words with 28K words for data/program and 4K words for data. It has up to 4096 inputs, 4096 outputs, and 480 local analog I/Os. It has a program scan time per keyword of 1 ms and 0.225 ms of I/O scan time. The 1747-L533 has a backplane current of 500 mA at 5V DC and 175 mA at 24V DC. It has a maximum 2 local I/O chassis with a maximum of 30 module I/O slots in the local I/O chassis. For communication, the 1747-L533 uses DH-485 and RS-232 ports that can be configured for connection to a 1761-NET-AIC converter. For programming, it supports RSLogix 500 software. The 1747-L533 has a standard battery-backed RAM and a Flash backup memory. With this processor, a remote I/O scanner module and a DeviceNet Scanner module can be installed to configure the I/O via a universal remote link or a DeviceNet network.

The 1747-L533 processor provides 0.44 ms bit-instruction execution time and 10 times the overall system throughput than its competitors do. It has various additional capabilities such as online programming, flash memory upgrades, floating-point math, a built-in real-time clock, key-switch, and a calendar. The 1747-L533 is intended for use in a clean and dry industrial environment with a 0 - 60 °C operating temperature and a 30g operating shock.
