IC200MDL636 is a 48 VDC Positive Negative Logic Input Module with 32 Points manufactured by GE Fanuc for the VersaMax series. The IC200MDL636 provides four sets of eight discrete inputs.

Inputs in each set can be either positive logic inputs or negative logic inputs. Positive input logics receive current from input devices and return the current on the common while negative-logic inputs receive the same current from the common and return current to the input device. Input devices are linked between the input terminals and common terminals. The number of points that can be on at the same time is based on factors, including external voltage, orientation of the module and DIN rail, and ambient temperature.

The IC200MDL636 is powered by the backplane. Intelligent processes are performed by the CPU or NIU. The module provides 32 bits of discrete input data. The IC200MDL636 module has individual green LEDs that indicate the on/off state of each input point. Backplane power must be available for LEDs to perform. The green OK LED will display ON when backplane power is recognized.

The basic input on/off response time of the IC200MDL636 module is 0.5ms. Some applications may, however, need additional filtering to handle noise spikes or switch bounce situations.

The module’s basic input on/off response time is 0.5ms. For some applications, it may be preferable to add additional filtering to compensate for conditions such as noise spikes or switch bounce. Input filter times of 0ms, 1.0ms, or 7.0ms are selectable via software configuration, for total response times of 0.5ms, 1.5ms, and 7.5ms respectively. The default is 1.0ms filter time (total response time is 1.5ms)
