The coal tar ptich which is fixed in the softening point between 75 ℃ to 80 ℃ distilled from the coal tar and apply for the paint additive, waterproof material and carbon products since the excellent performance for fluid viscosity, cohesiveness and waterproofness , as well as the resistance to corrosion.

Coal tar pitch distilled from by-product coal tar, generated by metallurgical coke ovens, has strategic importance for the aluminium industry. Other coal tar pitch which's combination of its binding properties with its high carbon content makes pitch an ideal complement to calcined petroleum coke for the production of carbon anode paste.
