In fact, HTN products' viewing characteristics are close to those of STN technology. As low operating voltage as 2.5V and marginal extra cost over TN means that the products are well suited to hand-held applications.

There are different LED backlights are available in various colors including yellow/green, white, red, blue, green, amber, and RGB LEDs as well as no backlight option.
