The COVID-19 Antigen Detection Kit is an immunochromatographic membrane assay that uses highly sensitive monoclonal antibodies to detect nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2. The reagent pad contains the colloidal-gold conjugated with the monoclonal antibody against the nucleocapsid protein of SARS-CoV-2. The reaction membrane contains the secondary antibodies for nucleocapsid protein of SARS-CoV-2. With this method there a just a few drops of saliva and extraction buffer needed and the results show in 15 minutes. The test does not have to be performed by a trained person. It can be used by everyone, including private use.

Description

Results are for the identification of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigen. Antigen is generally detectable in upper respiratory specimens during the acute phase of infection. Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens, but clinical correlation with patient history and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine infection status.
