The Sendust magnetic ring inductor operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When current passes through a winding wrapped around a magnetic ring, according to Ampere's law, the current will generate a magnetic field around the winding. Due to the use of Sendust material (an iron silicon aluminum magnetic powder core material) in the magnetic ring, which has high magnetic permeability, it can effectively gather and guide the magnetic field, causing the majority of the magnetic flux to concentrate inside the magnetic ring, forming a closed magnetic circuit.
When the current changes, such as in AC circuits where the magnitude and direction of the current periodically change, or in DC circuits where the current suddenly changes when the power is turned on and off, according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, the changing magnetic field will generate induced electromotive force in the winding. The direction of this induced electromotive force always hinders the change of current, that is, when the current increases, the direction of the current generated by the induced electromotive force is opposite to the original current direction; When the current decreases, the direction of the induced electromotive force current is the same as the original current direction. This characteristic enables the inductor to suppress changes in current in the circuit, helping to stabilize the current.

When current passes through the winding wound on the Sendust magnetic ring, according to Ampere's law, the current will generate a magnetic field around the winding. The direction of the magnetic field follows the right-hand spiral rule, where the right hand holds the wire, the thumb points in the direction of the current, and the other four fingers point in the direction of the magnetic field's circumference.
Due to the high magnetic permeability of Sendust magnetic rings,
they can guide and concentrate the magnetic field, limiting the
majority of the magnetic flux inside the ring and forming a closed
magnetic circuit. Compared to other shapes of magnetic cores,
annular magnetic cores can more effectively reduce magnetic flux
leakage into the surrounding space and improve the efficiency of
magnetic field utilization.
Sendust material (a type of iron silicon aluminum magnetic powder core material) has unique magnetic properties and plays an important role in the working principle of inductors. Its high magnetic permeability enables the generation of a stronger magnetic field at the same current, thereby improving the ability of the inductor to store magnetic energy and respond to changes in current.
Meanwhile, the low hysteresis loss and low eddy current loss
characteristics of Sendust material ensure minimal energy loss
during repeated magnetic field changes, thereby improving the
efficiency of the inductor. In addition, the high saturation
magnetic flux density of the material enables the inductor to
withstand large currents without easily experiencing magnetic
saturation, ensuring stable inductance performance even under high
current conditions.
