IC200ALG331 is a 4 Channel Isolated 16 Bit, Voltage Current Analog Output module from the GE Fanuc Versamax Series. This analog output module provides four analog outputs that are isolated on 4-20mA current output channels with software configuration. The IC200ALG331 has no jumpers or switches but boasts high accuracy factory calibration with 16 bit converter resolution. In addition, the IC200ALG331 features a selection of default/hold last state operation and per channel selection of default values. This module can provide field recalibration on command with per channel scaling, selection of alarm levels, and under/over range diagnostic levels.

As for the actual module, an external 24 volt power supply is necessary for the outputs, and in current mode, a separate power supply for isolated outputs is also required. The power supply must be connected to B17 and 18 to operate this version of the module with voltage outputs powered from the module. Current outputs act as regulators and require a supply to offer power to the load. Please note if the module supply is used as a loop supply, the loads are not isolated.

Four separate words of analog output data can be received by the IC200ALG331 module from either a CPU or NIU. LED indicators demonstrate the presence of both field and logic power for the field side analog circuits only. If the field power or backplane is not receiving power, the LED will turn off. This particular module has the OK LED placed before the field power LED in the A slot, unlike other models. The backplane current is at 5 volts output with a 10mA maximum or a 3.3 volt output with 115mA maximum. Output characteristics include an update rate of 7 ms max with crosstalk rejection of 70dB minimum.
