The Hirschmann RH1-TP/FL Rail Transceiver has three shielded RJ45 ports (10 Base-T) and dual Duplex ST (10 Base-FL) fiber optic connectors for creating fiber runs up to 3000 m or protecting from electromagnetic noise.The fiber port can also be used to build an optical fault tolerant ring through Hirschmann’s unique Hyper-Ring technology.If there is ever a failure along the fiber ring, the hub instantly recognizes the problem and switches to the redundant fiber within 20 ms.
