Dual Fiber CWDM mux module item is part of our xWDM product line uses up to 18 CWDM(Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplex) optical channel plan as defined by ITU-T G.694.2 allowing to organize up to 18 parallel and independent data streams over pair of single-mode optical fibers using CWDM multiplexing. xWDM technology remains as today’s prevailing technology for extending black fiber capacity. Main advantages of xWDM technology are its passive nature – no power supply or cooling necessary, robustness – no special microclimate requirements and as passive element, it has MTBF 100+ Years. xWDM – it is fully data rate or line protocol neutral – it is possible to use with colored transceivers supporting such applications as 1G/10G Ethernet, SDH/SONET and 8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel. It is simple to install, requires no configuration or maintenance. We designed Dual Fiber CWDM mux product line focusing on minimizing insertion loss allowing to extend maximum reach of CWDM technology, logical structure allowing to minimize initial investments and support gradual growth of CWDM capacity.
