Have you ever felt “weird” because you can’t avoid pointing out a Mac appearing on TV or in a movie and crying out “Look! Austin Powers uses a Mac!!!” If your answer is “yes”, now you know… you are not alone.

Our mission in MacMDB is create the biggest data base with movies and TV series images where any Apple product can be seen. So this is not your normal “blog”, it will only be updated when new contributions arrive, or new Macs are localized. Please, check the section “Wanted”if you feel like helping us (thank you in advance!).

To gather all these images we have viewed tons of movies; we got some of them through different references in different places, most of them discovered in long video club nights, and some other to kindful pointing of “friends in the know”.

When you take a look at all the movies presented here, you will notice the great diversity of all of them. Some have been “easier”, thanks to the DVD. But others have been a hard duty, like those of the eighties, such us Short Circuit (1986), View to a kill (1985) or Explorers (1985), just to name a few… but the finding was rewarding in itself!

If you like the idea you can contribute this way:

- Send a screenshot of the moment the Mac appears (640 pix. minimum) together with the name of the film.

- If you can not make the screen capture but you know there’s a Mac in a movie (and is not already in the Wanted section), send us the name of the movie and we’ll try to document it.

- Or you can send some of the images we have already published, if you can get better quality than us.
